We’re in the business of doing good

We believe that business can be a force for good. We always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the planet, improve the health and wellness of our customers, and drive positive social change.

Our products are all US made with most of the production being done in New York State (including the plastic injection molding). This keeps our transportation-related carbon emissions low.

We use biodegradable PLA plastic to manufacture the plastic parts of our product.

Mid Hudson Works

We are proud partners of Mid Hudson Works – a non-profit organization that provides employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Located in New York’s Hudson Valley, Mid Hudson Works is responsible for the manufacture and assembly of The World’s Smallest Garden.

Teens For Food Justice

We donate 1% of our revenue to Teens For Food Justice, which provides urban farming education to food insecure children and access to fresh healthy food for their communities. We know there is a gap between the people who buy our products and those that need the most help when it comes to fighting food insecurity. We have a bold vision about what the future of food will look like, and we can learn a lot from what Teens For Food Justice are doing to maximize our social impact.

Trees for the Future

As part of our Earth Day 2018 campaign, $2 from every kit sold during the month of April was donated to Trees For The Future. Together, Urban Leaf supporters helped make a $400 donation—enough to plant 4,000 trees!
