It’s tangy, It’s cheesy, and it has enough flavors to drive your taste buds wanting for more. This lemon basil pasta is delicious by itself, but if you prefer a little protein boost, top it with some of your favorite beans. Chickpeas or cannellini are excellent choices!
It can be a perfect weeknight dinner, or a quick fix for any of the weekends when you feel like having something homemade without having to put in any extra effort.

250 g (10 oz) Spaghetti or any pasta of your choice
Salt and Pepper to taste
For the Lemon Basil Sauce:
1 Lemon (Zest + Juice)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Cook the pasta as per the package direction. Drain and keep aside.
- Add the zest of one lemon, olive oil, parmesan cheese and basil leaves to a food processor and mix until smooth.
- Transfer the pasta to a skillet and add little sauce at a time. Toss the pasta well to combine. Add more Lemon basil sauce if needed depending on how much tang you prefer.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
