Cone shaped, with long roots and delicious flavor, it is perfect for carrot seeds planting in nearly any soil type. In the carrot growing stages they are designed to grow in rocky or dry soils where carrots might otherwise not thrive. Tops are easy to tug from the soil. Provide access to lots of sun.

History

Carrots originated from Central Asia, particularly in Persia, and was bred selectively to increase sweetness, minimize the woody core and reduce bitterness to improve the popularity of the vegetable. The modern carrot typically eaten now was first bred in Afghanistan. Some theorize that the first orange carrot was created by Dutch growers that wanted to honor the Dutch flag.
