Delightful citrusy taste mixed with the classic sweetness of basil, with undertones of cinnamon, mint and spice. Contains high amounts of Vitamin K, C and A, plus Calcium and Iron.
Mrs. Burns Lemon Basil was named after Mrs. Janet Burns, a gardener in New Mexico. She obtained it in the late 1930’s from a neighbor who had been growing the plant since 1920. It is a hybrid of sweet basil, with intense flavor, larger leaves and a larger harvest than most lemon basil plants.
