Grows best in hydroponics (about twice as fast) but is happy in soil too.
Container / Indoors
Plant 5 sites in a 4" (1 pint) container. In larger containers, space sites 2" apart. For each site plant 2 seeds 1/4" deep.
Outdoor / Inground
Plant 5 site per square foot. For each site, plant 2 seeds 1/4" deep.
Allow 12 to 16 inches of space between plants. Can grow up to three feet in height.

Lime Basil is native to tropical Africa, India and Southeast Asia, where to this day it is still cultivated. It was brought to tropical America during the 1700’s and eventually to Australia. Today, it is used as an insect repellent in many gardens. It also attracts bees and other pollinators. In India, Lime Basil is used for wounds and is prescribed for digestive issues. In tropical Africa Lime Basil has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries.
