    Plant 1 site in a 4" (1 pint) container. In larger containers, space sites 4" apart. For each site plant 2 seeds 1/4" deep.

    The plant generally grows 12 to 24 inches tall and requires 6 to 12 inches of spacing.

    Native to southern Russia and Eastern Europe, this breed of Parsley was then spread by the Romans through the entirety of Europe and eventually naturalized to those areas. During the Middle Ages it was used to aid in digestion and to help reduce blood pressure. Old folklore states that this plant “makes one merry, sharpens the wit, bestows youth upon the aged and symbolizes sincerity. The dried leaves are often used in potpourris. Parsley is noted as the world’s most popular herb.

    French parsley is one of the needed herbs to make "fine herbs," an herb blend that also includes traditional parsley, tarragon, and chives and is used in French cooking. Bring out your inner Parisian and use fine herbs to season baked chicken, salad dressings, and omlettes.
