FAQs

You can absolutely grow them in the winter. We actually include a humidity dome in the kit during the winter, as the air is really dry, and can become an unnatural environment for the mushrooms to grow. You can also spray on the mycelium inside the dome from time to time, or you can also utilize a humidifier for a lower-maintenance option.

But to emphasize, mushrooms' optimal growth occurs between 65-75°F (18-24°C)

Yes. Mushrooms actually do not like direct sunlight. Mushrooms need a small amount of light to know which direction to grow, but ambient room lighting is usually ample. These kits are meant to be used indoors.

If there's a little bit of water in the bottom of the bag, it's not a big deal. If there's a lot, it will probably interfere with the block's ability to grow mushrooms and we'd be happy to replace the kit. You can get in touch via help@geturbanleaf.com

We guarantee at least one flush but normally you get multiple flushes out of our kits if you take care of it correctly.

Magnificent mushroom kit

Kit was extremely easy to use. Considering I kill every plant I try to grow, I was thrilled to grow a sweet little mushy in no time. Used one of the recipes from the harvest website which I highly recommend. 10/10 will be buying again.

So easy and Fun

Spray each day and watch it grow. Took just over two weeks for me to get to what you see in the picture and I have more flushes left. When all is said and done hopefully the mycelium will colonize in my yard someplace

Dang thing grew and I did nothing for it

I suck at growing stuff. I mean when I remember to keep stuff alive, they thrive. In fact, I probably overmonitor, over feed, etc. for a period of time, and then I forget about it, and it withers and perishes. Not this guy. I did nothing and it busted out of the cardboard box and grew like a weed. Now I am in the overmonitoring phase, and it just keeps growing like I am a shroom expert grower.Anyway, give it darkness, moisture, and decent temp then you will get fast growth with little effort on your part.
