We have a soft spot for the bottle garden kits since they are how we launched Urban Leaf as a company back in 2017 via Kickstarter (search "World's Smallest Garden").

The grow sponges in these kits are enriched with a water-soluble hydroponic plant food, which will soak out into the water in the bottle once inserted. Never replace the water in your bottle, just top it up. After 4 months we recommend adding some Urban Leaf liquid plant food to the top-up water as well.

These kits do not include bottles. They are however compatible with most beer and wine bottles. We recommend 750ml and dark green or brown for best results. Do not use clear bottles as this will allow algae to grow in the water and consume all the nutrients.

I love the idea of a bottle garden. It didn't take a lot to find empty champagne/wine bottles!

Hey, what else are we meant to do while stuck at home besides empty wine bottles and garden...? ;)

Really good seed starter. The directions dont say when to repot. The roots after a month don't go past the plastic cage yet. I have them sitting in a north facing windows so they are not hit by direct sunlight.

This set is fantastic and I’m back for many more! I always wanted to try bottle gardening but I couldn’t get it all set up. No worries here, only happy happy! I got one in for fab fun, and by far and wide it was the best thing I ever got from them
